Two female postal workers were fatally shot in a post office shooting around 9 a.m. on October 18, 2010, in Henning, Tennessee.

WMC-TV in Memphis was the first station to report the incident. The Sheriff's office confirmed that two, female postal workers were shot and killed. Eyewitnesses say the incident appeared to be a botched robbery attempt.

The Associated press reported that another female postal worker witnessed the shootings, but was able to escape the gunfire. Authorities have been told that two, armed men attempted to rob the post office and left the scene in a burgundy Chevrolet Malibu.
